.SHORT TERM… Issued at 214 PM CST Sat Feb 11 2023

Through Sunday night…

Quiet and unseasonably mild weather will persist through the period. There are thus no significant weather concerns of note through the period.

The influx of a warmer airmass from the southwest combined with full sunshine this afternoon are allowing temperatures to warm well into the 40s across the area. These mild conditions will continue the remainder of the afternoon before temperatures fall back into the 20s for lows tonight under mainly clear skies.

Another pleasant weather day is expected on Sunday. While we may see some higher level cloud cover move into the area later in the day in advance of the next approaching disturbance, it appears unlikely that temperatures will be impacted. Accordingly, another mild day is expected, with temperatures topping out around 50 degrees. More mid and high level cloudiness should move across the area into Sunday night in advance of the next approaching weak frontal trough, and an accompanying mid- level impulse. This frontal trough is likely to shift into the area very late Sunday night. It appears very unlikely the area will see any precipitation from this feature as the lower level airmass looks to remain rather parched across the area.
