.SHORT TERM…
Issued at 251 AM CDT Thu Oct 20 2022
Through Friday…
The advertised warming trend will get under way today. Highs should warm into the mid 50s to lower 60s across the CWA, a good 10F+ warmer than Wednesday`s highs. Other than some departing early morning high cloudiness and perhaps some late arriving high cloudiness toward evening, most of today should be mostly sunny.
Warm air advection really cranks up Friday with 925mb temps progged to warm into the mid to upper teens (Celcius) during the afternoon. This time of year, that supports highs well into the 70s. Once again there will likely be some morning cirrus in the area, but skies should become sunny by afternoon. Given nearly full afternoon sunshine and gusty southwest winds, have leaned toward the warmer end of the guidance for highs tomorrow.
