Through Thursday night…

The status quo is the way to go with a Rex-block remaining locked in place across the central US. Tomorrow looks like a carbon copy of today except with modestly weaker south to southwesterly winds. High clouds will also gradually increase during the afternoon hours in response to a broadening upper-level moisture shield extending outward from a hybrid mid-latitude/convective system along the Gulf Coast. Record high temperatures tomorrow remain threatened (see the Climate Section below).
