.UPDATE…
Issued at 900 PM CDT Sun Oct 23 2022

The forecast remains on track on this warm and breezy fall evening. Had a few early elevated showers pop up along the western edges of the metro that have since weakened with more recent development over southern Lake Michigan and north of Rockford along the WI/IL border. Additional high based showers remain possible across the area late this evening and through the early overnight hours along with isolated non-severe thunderstorms. Dry air in the low-levels should limit rainfall totals with anything that moves into the area tonight. The soaking rainfall will not arrive until Tuesday.

Winds on Monday have the potential to overperform again even under widespread cloud cover. Did nudge up wind speeds and gusts a bit during the afternoon and evening hours and they may need to be even higher (35-40+ mph) if we are able to mix as deeply as some model soundings suggest. The daytime hours still look mostly dry, with precipitation potentially not arriving until Monday night.
