Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Chicago/Romeoville, IL
634 AM CDT Tue Apr 11 2023
.SHORT TERM… Issued at 252 AM CDT Tue Apr 11 2023
Through Wednesday…
Dry and unseasonably warm conditions expected today and tomorrow. The HRRR and RAP tend to outperform other guidance in dry/warm situations with deep mixing and that was definitely the case with Monday`s temps/dewpoints. Nudged high temps up just a smidge Wednesday to be more in tune with the toasty RAP/HRRR. Otherwise, no changes made to short term forecast. Deep mixing and tighter pressure gradient should result in stronger winds Wednesday, with gusts over 30 mph expected from late morning through the afternoon.
